Testimonials
"Katie was an absolute pleasure to work with. She took the time to understand exactly what the vision was and she was communicative throughout the process. When Katie wasn't available for another project, we weren't able to find another illustrator to match her quality of work or professionalism. Her passion and talent can't be beat!"

Sample 2: Bridge Pose
Fusion wanted characters to look friendly and exaggerated - similar to Disney characters - while at the same time anatomically correct. Fusion would send me photos of therapists preforming the desired poses, and I would sketch out rough drawings for therapists to offer feedback on. This project was unique for me to work on in that the substance of the illustrations was far more important than style. It was important that I find a balance of expressing a real life therapy pose while maintaining the established art style
Sample 3: Dressing Exercise and Tummy Time
It was important to me in the design process to have my characters vary in appearance. I wanted kids who might be looking at my illustrations to be able to connect to the characters in some way and feel encouraged that they could perform the exercises too!
Sample 4: Other Poses and Exercises
The poses and exercises ranged in age and purpose. Some activities included parents, others were sequences, some were body poses, and others were intended for speech therapy.
Sample 5: Super Powers HEP Card Deck
After a substantial number of poses and exercises were created, Fusion was able to take the library of illustrations and produce the "Super Powers: Pediatric Therapy Card Game" so therapists could engage with their patients in a fun and interactive way.
