Testimonials
"When it comes to creating something people will truly enjoy and love, Katie seems to find a way to nail it with her artwork and animation. She's got the 'it factor' with her work—she just understands what makes something excellent. Her standards are always high for herself and she delivers every time. Katie's work was usually the highlight of a project."

Sample 1: Snow Dance
Snow Dance was a Preschool music video created for the original song KidSpring produced. The idea was the on stage actor would encourage the children in the audience to preform specific motions in a dance that would cause it to snow on stage. The unique challenge for this piece was to create cute woodland characters that could also creatively preform the motions. The kids watching would know exactly what to do by following along with the video.
Sample 2: On-stage Backdrops
Below are two examples of on-stage backgrounds I created for the live action performance. The Illustration on the left was created for the Preschool live performance and the composite on the right accompanied the Elementary live actors. These backdrops would be projected onto the wall as opposed to painting/crafting a traditional set and also make it possible to enlarge visuals that actors interact with. You'll see an examples of this in the Mini Moose and Dipperdug images below.
Sample 3: Dipperdug
This is Dipperdug the gnome. I designed him and his setting to mimic Pokemon Go. Gnome Go was a humorous take on the popular game that was included in the on-stage story of Snowed Inn.
Sample 4: Mini Moose
Mini Moose is a character I designed, illustrated, and animated for preschool. The on-stage actor would walk over to a real life snow globe prop with a cut out Mini Moose inside. When The actor shook the snow globe the video cue would be fired. I wanted her introduction to feel fun and magical as the kids imaged the onstage prop coming to life before their eyes
